Text of the tract:

Cliff was born into a typical family. He had two loving parents and two brothers. He had many of the same experiences you may have had growing up; soccer, baseball, basketball, camping and Cub Scouts. Later he was into stuff like NASCAR, reptiles, girls and extreme sports. (Not necessarily in that order) He had lots of friends at school and church. Oh yeah, by the way, Cliff went to church. His parents had kept their family in church so their kids would see how important God was in their lives. When Cliff was 8- years-old he became aware that he needed a personal relationship with God so he went to his mom and she showed him the way this could happen. This is when Cliff became a Christian and experienced the peace of knowing that while on earth he would always have God in his life and when he died he would be able to go to Heaven.  Becoming a Christian was the most important thing he would ever do. This didn’t make Cliff perfect, it just meant that he had done what the Bible says we have to do to be able to go to heaven when we die. Cliff wanted to have it taken care of. He also wanted to show others how to know for sure where they were going when they died. The fact that you are reading this means someone who counts you as a friend wants you to know what they know about God. You might be thinking that you don’t need to worry about dying since you are so young. Well, this is where the story takes a sad turn. You see just two months before his 14th birthday, Cliff was working with his friend at a ranch where they helped to care for thoroughbred racehorses when he was tragically injured by one of the horses. Cliff’s life on earth ended that day. It was a horrible day for all that loved Cliff. They struggled to trust that God knew what He was doing and yet that is exactly what they did. They knew that Cliff was in Heaven since he had become a Christian.

Many lives have been changed since Cliff’s death, including that of his best friend Ryan. He had heard Cliff talk about God and understood that Cliff knew what would happen to him after he died, but Ryan had never become a Christian. Cliff’s death caused Ryan to realize the importance of knowing for sure what happens to you after you die, and he too became a Christian. One day Cliff and Ryan will see each other again in Heaven. If you want to know for sure that you will go to Heaven when you die keep reading.

In the Bible, it says that all of us have messed up. This is called sin. Romans 3:23 says “For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God.” We all are imperfect and could never reach Heaven on our own. The sin that keeps us from Heaven has another down side. Romans 6:23 states, “For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.” Because of sin we all die. If we don’t accept God’s perfect gift in this lifetime, we will be eternally separated from God in a place the Bible calls hell. Through His death on the cross, Jesus became our way to Heaven. Romans 5:8 says, “But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.”

God, in love, wanted to make a way for all of us to be able to spend eternity with Him in Heaven after we die. So how can we get to Heaven? God tells us in Romans 10:9-10: “That if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.” Jesus’ death was so unique because He didn’t stay dead! He is alive and in Heaven today, making a way for those who truly believe in Him to have a relationship with God forever. If you want a real relationship with God here is what you need to do.

1.          Truly believe Jesus is God’s son and came to die for you.

2.          Admit you are a sinner and need forgiveness of those sins.

3 .         Ask God into your life.

This is the most important decision you will ever make, however, it doesn’t stop here. Now, pass this on to your friend. You can also visit cliffhaynes.com.
